I am a PhD Candidate in Anthropology at Temple University. On route to my PhD, I earned my MA in Anthropology in May 2015. I got my BA in Anthropology with a Minor in Communication Studies from Southwestern University, where I graduated cum laude. Experience

I am working towards my PhD and have real passion for teaching! I have independently taught collegiate courses as an adjunct professor for over 3 years. My courses have ranged from specific topics like U.S. immigration and global youth cultures to more introductory courses that expose students to a wide array of cultures and social phenomenon. Further, I love integrating current events and media into my lessons as they help students to contextualize their learning and make concrete connections to the world around them. As a tutor, I emphasize the importance of learning to tackle readings and tests strategically and write convincingly in one's own voice. I would love to share such strategies with you!
