I am an experienced tutor both on my own and with Hedger Tutoring in San Antonio. I have worked with students grades 2-11, on varying levels and subjects including elementary math, algebra, english, writing, grammar, and study skills. I am fluent in Spanish, and have worked with students who have dyslexia, ADD, and ADHD, as well as siblings who wish to study together. I love kids, and I love to learn; passing along that knowledge to young minds is a beautiful combination of the two for me. I was a Student Teacher for a group of Spanish speaking 5th graders for a year, and worked with a group of 3rd graders as their poetry teacher for a semester, in charge of teaching and lesson plan design. I scored a 1380 on my combined math and reading SAT, and a 32 on my ACT.

Hobbies
When I am not working or studying for my degree in Publishing, I am a ballroom dancer. I absolutely love to dance, the rhythm and beauty of movement to music. Some of the styles I prefer include tango, salsa, east and west coast swing, waltz, and blues. I am also a designer, and work on posters and advertisements and screen prints on the side. I love to laugh, and embody the importance of establishing a relationship with my students that is not just conducive to learning, but to WANTING to learn. It’s important to enjoy what we do.
