I received a Bachelor's Degree from Texas State University, emphasis in Archaeology, mostly Bioarchaeology and Forensic Anthropology. I graduated in 2016 with a 3.7 GPA. After graduating I decided that I wanted to go to school for Pharmacy, this required me to go back to retrieve prerequisites. In the fall of 2019 I will be attending Pharmacy school at Texas Tech University.
Experience
I want to be a tutor because I enjoy helping others learn. I have been a tutor all throughout college as a hobby on the side, mostly for my friends. I was the person that everyone went to in the dorms when they struggled with their math. I love Chemistry and was pretty successful in the class that I became a tutor for JAMP; a program that helps students acheive to go to medical school. All the classes I was required to take before applying to Pharmacy school were heavy in science and math. Although, all the undergrad classes I was required to take were heavy in the theoretical thinking. In a way I am able to do both now. I am able to think critically, scientifically, and theoretically. This comes with an advantage in school because students are now required to think outside the box when attempting to solve hard problems.

Hello! My name's Amanda I love reading books, singing, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors. I've lived in a lot of different places my whole life including: Taiwan, China, WA, OR, and now here TX. Living in different areas has really pushed me adventure out on my own. I like running and staying active. I'm an energetic person who is passionate when I teach, and I become immersed in the subject that I help others learn. While helping you, your daughter or son; I will make up problems, challenge them to think outside the box, engage in a conversation that relates to the subject, make them do handson activities, and help them understand the content with other teaching mechanisms.
