I am a tutor who loves to elicit "Aha!" moments from my students, especially in their most challenging subjects. I understand that those moments are only realized if I can find ways to motivate students and keep them motivated even in their toughest times. The student and tutor form a team that can only reach its goals by being persistent, patient, and determined.My love for tutoring began while I was studying acting at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. I began helping my roommate edit essays, and from that success my dorm room became a place for me to help multiple students with argumentative and creative papers. It was then that I fell in love with writing. English became my favorite subject to tutor as my passion grew for essay writing and editing. It was very fulfilling to see the evolution of a student's essay from initial draft to finished product and witness the student's excitement about the achievement. I am now studying Theater at Texas State University where I devote much of my time to the theater and creating theatrical art. What spare time I have is filled by keeping up with "Doctor Who" and "Sherlock" on BBC, learning American Sign Language, and reading plays.
