Experience
The most fulfilling thing about teaching is seeing a student light up when they've mastered a subject. I tend to go with a more methodical approach when teaching. I provide students with specific steps they can apply and which they can use as a foundation for their studies. In addition, I favor an open and inviting atmosphere where students feel free to make mistakes without consequences. I enjoy tutoring Math the most, especially Calculus and Algebra. I also like helping students with Grammar and Writing. Having taken numerous AP exams when I was in school, I'm eager to help my students with test prep. I have a B.S. in International Political Economy from the University of Texas at Dallas. I was in the McDermott Scholars Program and served as an editor of the campus opinion newspaper. In addition, I had the opportunity to study Arabic and Spanish abroad. This love of languages inspired me to be certified as an ESL instructor and I taught English to immigrants in my hometown. I enjoy playing the guitar, riding my bike, blogging, and obsessively reading Wikipedia.
