Experience
I am currently in my second year at Texas State University, where I've been working towards a degree in English and math. Throughout my time as a student, I've taken a keen interest in tutoring and working with others. There's something every special about being able to share my own skills, wisdom, and experience with others so that they're able to overcome their own challenges in the classroom. My goal as a tutor is to build my students' confidence levels in the classroom as well as out in the world. I believe that the best way to help a person succeed is to approach teaching with a student-centered approach. By building professional relationships with my students, I'm able to learn more about their needs, strengths, and weaknesses. With this information, I am then better equipped to help them overcome their challenges while learning in a way that works best for them. I also believe that one of the most effective ways to tutor someone else is through hands-on activities that keep students active and engaged throughout the duration of the lesson. I wholeheartedly believe that education is one of the best ways to ensure that people reach success in life and develop the problem-solving skills needed to overcome unexpected challenges as they arise.
